Does God Care About Your Business?

How you answer the question, “Does God Care About Your Business?” will determine how you make decisions for your business. The right response will drive your decisions and your profits – yes, God cares about your money. Hello Marketplace Ministry!

God created us to work. Genesis 2:15 says, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.” The same applies today. Your garden is where you have authority, where you live, go to church, hang out, and get paid, including business and ministry.

In Matthew 25: 14-30, Jesus uses a parable (a story to illustrate a point), to demonstrate how He feels about making a profit. In the Parable of the Talents (Matt 25:14–30), a master leaves and trusts his money to three people. When he returns it is clear that he expected to receive a profit although they were given different amounts of money. He rewarded them according to how well they multiplied what He left them.

Your business is no different. Yes, God cares about your business and He cares about your money. (Did you know there are over 2000 Bible verses about money?)

He cares about your diligence in business.

He cares about how you treat people.

He cares what you do with your money and He expects you to grow your business and manage it well.

Check out how the Mathew parable ends:

“For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him” (Matt 25:29).

The person who is lazy with what God gives him loses what he has. The person who is diligent, gets even more. Wow!

Are you losing money because of how poorly you manage your business

Are you missing a blessing or God’s favor because you aren’t passionate about what you do?

Are you using half of what He has given you or bringing it all to the table?

Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” That includes your business.

Here’s the good news – (Proverbs 22:19) –  “Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.”

God loves for you to be passionate about your work. Yes, He cares about your business. Make it a Marketplace Ministry and share the difference with others. That’s how you get the top result like the Matthew 25 man who doubled his money.

That’s what we do at the Extra Life Marketplace Ministry. I hope you will make a difference with us.

  1. Wow! I love how you bring God into your business. He gave you the business ability and He cares about every part of your success. In the Bible Joseph was an excellent business man (Read about Joseph starting with Genesis 37). It was his gift and God used him to protect his people. He uses you to pray with your guys, keep them employed (which means caring for their families) and to be an example of honesty to your customers. Yes, you are a steward under God, but an owner in the world.

    Exodus 35:35:
“He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer.”

    Luke 19:13:
“Calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Engage in business until I come.’”

    I hope this helps.

    Blessings!

  2. I’ve owned numerous businesses through the years (now 55). Just started a new pest control business 2 years ago and it’s been struggling to get to the cash Flo break even. I’ve been a Christian for years and have always brought Christ into my businesses. My guys pray together daily and we have a Bible study 2 times per week. However, I’ve struggled with the idea that God really desires to bless my business. We don’t take it with us…. I know that I’m to steward it well, however, I also struggle with taking ownership of business rather than stewarding the business..
