Finding Your Why in Career

Establishing the “Why” in Your Marketplace Ministry

A clearly defined “why” keeps you going when everyone around you gives up. Establishing the “why” for your marketplace ministry is important for you to dive deep into the work and the rewards of ministry and business. As a business leader, you will work harder than every one else. As one who is called to ministry, you’ll need stamina and determination. Establishing your “why” is the key to keeping you fulfilled through it all. Worth more than just making money, your  “why” makes every day, every battle, worth it.

There’s a reason simply having a profitable career or just hanging out on social media, doesn’t completely satisfy. God created you with special gifts designed for you to bless others. If you’re an encourager, a leader, a teacher, It’s important you find a way to use the gifts to help other people grow and find their “why” in their own experience.

So whatever you do every day, find a reason why you do it.

  • A photographer may say, “I help people capture great memories.”
  • A teacher may say, “I open minds to new possibilities.”
  • An entertainer may say, “I help people smile, even when they don’t feel like it.”
  • A business person may say, “I provide jobs for families to live better.”
  • A pastor may say, “I help people find rest for their soul.”
  • A therapist may say, I help people live better.”
