DEALING WITH BIG LIFE CHANGES

There’s no way to stop change from happening. When it comes to dealing with big life changes, we’re all equal. However, time is your friend, that is when you maneuver the process in a healthy way. When you’re forced to deal with big life changes, you want to land in a better place and get your life back. You want to feel normal again, right?

I get it. I wish I could say it’s easy, but we all know that’s not true. Yet, you can create a better process with these suggestions.

Things To Do:

  1. Stop fighting and start working it out. Things around you will always change. Instead of fighting, start learning. Also, work on making your new situation feel normal. Don’t use energy fighting and trying to stop it. See your big life change as an opportunity to learn something new, make new friends, and expand your thinking.
  2. Grow your faith. Your season changed. It doesn’t mean there is anything wrong. It doesn’t mean the past doesn’t matter. You’re just experiencing the end of a season – a transition that requires an adjustment.
  3. Get our emotions under control. Change is emotional. The next few suggestions will help you manage your emotions.
  4. Don’t make quick decisions. If you are a survivor of a deceased loved-one read this article to help you manage your resources.
  5. Listen to the right people. Find some friends who can speak truthfully into your life.
  6. Be careful. Check yourself to make sure you don’t do anything foolish?
  7. Seek help. Get professional help if needed.
  8. Stay balanced. Look for opportunities to learn something new, laugh, smile and have fun.
  9. Don’t let things linger. Make the tough decisions that linger and cause stress.
  10. Use your faith. Join a Bible study to learn what the Bible says about our situation
  11. Embrace the new. Sometimes, change is good for you, but tough for others. If someone is having trouble with your change share this post.
  12. God knows how you feel. He is a comforter who provides direction, and He has a plan for you.

Check out some of God’s promises and hold to Him closely, day by day. Also, it’s important that you don’t walk through your change alone. Get involved with your local Bible teaching church, spend time with trusted friends and draw closer to God for yourself. In time, you’ll begin to adjust to your new life and reframe your earlier life.

There are lots of post on the website that will help. Take some time to browse through and find the encouragement that you need.
