Everywhere you go, church, work, a party, or a bar there is a universal language that always works. Anything you say or do that communicates to another person, “You matter,” will be valued. While this post describes “Ten Ways to Say, You Matter,” there are many more that mend relationships and bring smiles to faces everywhere.
Check out these Ten Ways to Say, “You matter.”
- Send an unexpected note to encourage someone.
- Call a client who is unhappy and listen to her story. Then apologize.
- Pay a bill for a person who is struggling financially.
- Invite a person to join you for a special night out. Buy the ticket and pay for the food.
- Spend some time helping a person solve a problem without being hurried.
- Visit a person who is not doing well and spend unhurried time together.
- Send some money to a college student.
- Invite someone to join you at church.
- Call a friend that you always text.
- Express your feelings to a person that you see everyday.
This list could go on, but hopefully, you get it. They key here is that other people, all of them, really do matter. Our job is to let them know, every day.
