Progress – Move forward with whatever is moving, growing, benefiting and supporting your values. If a person or activity is not progressing toward your goals, move it down on the priority list (if it gets any time at all). That means empty conversations and activities that take your valuable time need to go. If they don’t point toward your goals and values, take a closer look. If it’s not worth your time, step away.

Make a list of people and activities that should not come into the new year. Maybe you are participating in an activity that’s very consuming but adds little value. Perhaps you are a part of an activity that consumes your time and energy, but it encourages behavior that you are trying to avoid. Don’t delay or wait for the best time. Just get out!

Prosperity – As you make decisions, don’t just look at money. Consider your health, family, emotional wellbeing, spiritual life, practical issues, social life and intellectual growth. If you dive too deep into one area and neglect another area, you still lack balance. As you strategically make decisions, consider the big picture and your complete self.

Strategy Once you write your goals, decide how to complete them. I recently published the paperback version of my book, How to Make Your Business Your Ministry. As I get into marketing and distribution, I must answer many questions to make sure I reach my goals. Strategy makes me stop, think and learn about the right timing and partners. Strategy is having the insight to get things done with wisdom and revelation.

Take some time to do a little housecleaning. Start by forgiving yourself for every mistake or omission you made in the past year. Don’t take the hang-ups from the past into the new year. If you need to forgive someone, do it with speed. If you have neglected a responsibility, turn it around quickly. Pray specifically about your business and goals to be sure you are move in God’s favor.

Speed – If you have goals that don’t happen, evaluate the reasons and make adjustment. Don’t let yourself get comfortable with procrastination and not finishing what you start.

Your changes can be difficult for those closest to you. This is not the time to allow other people to slow you down. Use your strategies to move forward, no matter what people say. Hopefully your positive change makes them start their own journey to reach their goals. Adjust your expectations and encourage people to adjust their expectations for you. No matter what happens, keep moving forward. You got this my Wild Friend!
