It’s time to restore the forgotten dreams that God placed in your heart. Why? Because you may think they are forgotten, but actually, you just stuffed them deep in your mind so you won’t think about them. They are still there. You knew that – right?

So, what happened?

Was the journey longer than expected. Where the enemy’s tactics too crafty. Did you become distracted or fatigued, finally giving up?

If you’ve read my earlier posts, you know what I mean when I say, It’s One O’clock in your life!

Let’s go back to where it all started.

Maybe you believed in something with extreme emotion. You were passionate. You made plans and set goals. Sometimes you felt that God Himself called you, or at least agreed with your goal. Great ideas flowed through your mind. The project dominated your thoughts, time and emotions. You invested everything that you had, including your heart. It became your hope and your belief. It was your dream – a call from God!

In the beginning you were full of excitement and enthusiasm. Everything went well.  You were motivated despite a few setbacks. You worked hard and gladly made the necessary sacrifices because you knew it would get better. But the arrows kept coming with your dream as the bulls-eye.  Slowly, the delays and setbacks pushed the dream to the background of our life and eventually out of reach.

I know because it happened to me for years. Day after day, month after month, and yes, year after year, I felt something standing in may way. My dream for my future, the purpose that God was birthing, often felt like just a dream in the night – and sometimes a nightmare!

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life” (Proverbs 12:12).

Thank God the struggle is not the end of the story.

Do you see the second part of the verse? Desire fulfilled is a tree of life! Isn’t that what we’re seeking? We want our dreams to come true. We want to be fulfilled and successful – to have what God’s desires for us.

If you’re the one who still remembers a dream that you believe God gave you, it’s time to reconsider the decision to give up. Take another look at the possibilities. Perhaps your personal growth and maturity are just what you need to get it done this time. You may have to step out of your box and do something uncommon. You may see areas where you moved away from God’s will and paid a price. That still doesn’t have to stop you. He knew you before He called you. He’s not shocked by anything that you have done. That’s why He gave us grace. He knew we would need it!

Now is the time to join the journey toward restoring your forgotten dreams!

I’m not saying it will be easy, but it’s better to keep trying than to give up and never know if it will work this next time.

In the next few months, I’ll be writing to prepare you to make some tough decisions.

Your God-given dreams are not dead – not as long as God’s breath in still within you. There is always a step you can take towards God and His plan for you life.

Spend a few days (you decide how long you need) re-establishing your commitment to follow God. Write down some steps that you need to take and start praying daily. Prepare the foundation for whatever God wants to do in your life!
